Data: 07/01/2012 12:13:44, add by DudleyGruntCleaning up past events. It's been 3 weeks, since the WWFM. If some needs to log, they will still be able to.

Description EN

All attendees, please bring a bottle of bubbles with you. There will be a container for SWAG to trade so don't forget to bring some yourselves.

Crayola has a new "colored" bubbles product, please DO NOT bring these. They have a tendency to stain clothing and other items.

>Please read the entire cache page for important information.

WWFM IX

World Wide Flash Mob #9

(You might want to add this event to your "watchlist" for late-breaking announcements.)

WWFM IX

June 9th, 2012

Mark your calendars.

This is fifteen minutes you won't want to miss.

~~PRELIMINARY INFORMATION~~

This event is a "Flash Mob" gathering of geocachers, only 15
minutes long!

To claim the event, you must be present and sign a log sheet
during this time. (Hence the difficulty level of 2.)

"WWFM" stands for the World Wide Flash Mob event:

Hundreds of events all around the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others (non-geocachers) to geocaching.

You've heard of MEGA-EVENTS...

This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways.

Sort of like a MICRO-EVENT.

Come be part of this historic experience!

The event will begin precisely at 1:00pm on June 9, 2012
and will last EXACTLY fifteen minutes, not one second longer.

For additional WWFM IX information, visit:
https://sites.google.com/site/wwfminfo

EVENT DETAILS:

Since this Flash Mob event is in White Point Gardens where parking can be hard to find sometimes, I recommend you arrive with enough time to spare to not only find a parking spot but to then walk to the event. Remember to pretend you are a non-cacher, and to act like
you don't know any of the other geocachers present.

At 12:59 PM - Make your way to the
designated event coordinates shown above. Keep acting like you know no one. Get out your bubbles and get ready.

1:00 PM - At exactly 1:00 PM as determined by
the GPS clock, I will put down a large bucket at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the flash mob. You may then converge on the area for the official event. Start blowing bubbles enroute to ground zero. Event Packs will then be handed out.

Inside the Event pack you will find the following items: itinerary, official log sheet, event "meal"(hold on to this until "meal time") pen and/or pencil. Don't lose the numbered bag, this is your raffle number!!

Sign individual log sheets and drop them in the bucket. These will later become the event logbook. (All teams please notate individual names on your sheet for statistical purposes) There will also be a large container for
trackables and another for SWAG. Again, make sure the trackables you bring are already logged into the event. Then mingle, chat and blow more bubbles!!

1:05 PM - At exactly 1:05 PM as determined by
the GPS clock, I will signal a second time to signify
the start of the "event meal". All the while keep blowing bubbles!!

1:10 PM - At exactly 1:10 PM as determined by
the GPS clock, I will signal a third time. Immediately assemble for and take
group photo. After the photo briefly mingle and chat. We will be raffling off a trackable WWFM travel tag, some pathtags that have been donated by RhinoInAToga and Crssedup and the FTF honors. While your at it...Blow some more bubbles!!

1:14 PM - One minute warning is called. Clean
up and prepare to leave.

1:15 PM - LEAVE the area immediately! AMSCRAY and
SKEDADDLE! Log entries sealed and closed. If you missed the signing and the photo, you missed the event.

THE END.

If anyone would like to volunteer during the event, please add a note to the event page. We might need help handing things out depending on the amount of people showing up. We will need someone to "videotape" the event so it can be uploaded to "youtube".
