Open Waters

An Opencaching Exclusive

Here in my favorite park for caching I have placed another concept for a cache.  I have never seen one like it but I'm sure they exist. As sometimes happens, I found the key part of this container while looking for another cache.  This one is intended to be somewhat difficult to find but by no means impossible.  It may take a little "out of the box" thinking to complete.

Once found please be sure to return to the same area and close the lid tightly.

Can't say too much about this one either, except coords are good. I still expanded my search radius 40 feet. Didn't quite leave no stone unturned like on That's Just Wrong, but pretty close. Unlike gbmcache, I only gave myself 30 minutes. I had already done three other OC caches, and maintenance on one, and the sun was fading and I was just about to give up when I checked a few other spots & things and surprise, surprise, it's Christmas and I found my gift. Clever idea. Not exactly as CO intended, but not his fault. Still wish I had though, that's like three this weekend I found not as intended. Bummer. But still enjoyed the hunt and this one did keep me busy for the full 30 minutes. So close to a DNF. Good one TH. I definitely want to come back to this park. Maybe I could inspire you with a new idea...hmmmm. ;-)

This cache I found to be annoying. Not because it was hard to find but because of this.... The first time we went to this park we were using my phone as a gps. When we went to go look for this cache and I lost satilite signal. While walking around the pond I saw this item and I was talking to "sasquatch" about how it would be a good idea to use an item like that for a hide of my own. We never did get satilite reception back so we ended up leaving. We go back today with a real gps just to find that the item I was talking about is the actual cache. WTF!?! Why didn't I pick it up the first time I was there? grr.... * angry face* Find number 3 for today!! and our first opencaching find.
