Description EN

Not my first OCNA cache in the Niagara Peninsula, but the first physical hide. A micro for now since that's what I had with me, but as usual I hope to return with a larger replacement cache before too long.

We visit the Niagara Peninsula a lot - living just a short distance from there, it's our preferred place to go for a day trip. And in the last year I've visited many time with a cache container ready to hide if a suitable spot should present itself.

Today we were in NOTL to see the ice sculptures in Simcoe Park, then stopped by this abandoned park to find a letterbox (of the AQ variety). Struck out on the letterbox and also managed to overlook the vintage GS cache hidden at the other end of the park. So I WILL be back.

Surprised to see only one cache in this park. Well, now there are two. You might need to park across the road (at Newark Park) and walk in, as we did.

The cache is another of my favorite plastic tubes (favorite because I have a massive supply  of them, there are extremely waterproof and are easy to pack around for days like today). Only a logsheet, please bring a pencil.

Enjoy the views of Lake Ontario, but don't fall off the bluff; follow the lake to the western end of this park and you will be able to access the lake with without the 15 foot drop.
