UPDATED APRIL 11 2018: Container was still there and still dry but was hard to open, so replaced with something different. And since a nice new boardwalk has conveniently appeared since 2016, I moved the cache to somewhere a bit higher and drier.
Visited Guelph today and took the opportunity to fulfill a cache request. I intended to place this in a different section of the Arboretum but this spot spoke up and I couldn't say no. I may move it next time I visit. Or maybe I'll just hide another one.
The container is a 500 mL plastic bottle. Contains a logbook and swag including a few nice custim made magnets courtesy of Lone.R. There's room for trade-items.
I spent a lot of time in the Arbouretum when I lived in Guelph. It's a great place, especially for a nerd like me who likes to know the names of the trees. I would spend hours wandering around, looking at trees and reading those names.
That was before I learned about geocaching. Now I wander around finding stuff that others hid.

After 2 years I expected this particular one to be missing or wet inside, but I found the cache today and it was still nice and dry. But the container is hard to open and so I replaced it with. Also moved the cache to a new spot since a boardwalk has conveniently appeared. Cache moved from N 43° 32.194' W 80° 13.282' to N 43° 32.195' W 80° 13.264'. Description and hint will be adjusted accordingly.

Thank you Bon Echo for placing a cache for my cache preferences. I know this part of the Arboretum well, and it will be dry in the summer months. Today it was squishy, wet and muddy, but I expected worse. Thanks for the detailed hint.
Very nice nalgene container. Nice swag inside. The opencaching business card was a nice touch. Being a dog fan, I traded the shitzu for a couple of my handcrafted fridge magnets. Covered it back up well with bark.
Fingers-crossed that you will get some more finders soon.
