Back in August (2010) I heard about this new geocaching platform (Website) and was happy to check it out. There weren't any caches in Idaho at that time but I was super busy with harvest and knew I'd get after it when harvest was over.
Late last night I was reading about this type of cache (Dead Drop) and fell in love with the concept! How fun!!!
I realize that probably nobody will come along to find it for some time but...
...I'm going to spread the word about Opencaching!!! I'm truly excited about this new caching platform. I feel that word of mouth built a monster and then they some how forgot about FUN and can only think about $$$$$ now.
You WILL need a laptop to 'LOG' this cache! You won't need any additional cables to 'log' this, only a laptop computer running Windows and a nifty little piece of software called 'Notepad' which I believe comes with all Micrsoft Windows OS's.
Enjoy

I considered pulling the plug on this USB but I read Dino_hunters log they had entered on the drive , got all excited, and put it back :-P
This has been out there this long... Just as well keep it going, right?
All is well with the jump drive. I hid it so it can be sought after and now it's got age going for it and could become a historical piece of the game that many folks may begin to seek.
Thanks,
Jeff

Wow a new caching website with a new cache type. There are only 2 USB Dead Drop caches in the entire USA, and one is only 1.05 miles from my inlaws house. We're up here from Utah, for Christmas and had to get it. Our laptop decided to die just as we arrived at the cache site, we we just took the flash drive for a short trip to the inlaws.
