Description   EN

Cache is located near a pond. This is a night cache. From the posted coordinates you should follow the paved path to the very end.

This cache is best done when the sky is dark. You will have approximately one hour after dusk in which do do this cache before the beacon shuts down for the evening. This is a night cache but it does not use fire tacks so your flashlight will NOT point the way.

Follow the paved path for approximately 165m. The best view of the beacon is from the North corner at the very end of the path. From this spot you must look all around you for the beacon. There are many lights in the area so do not get confused.

Please trade up or trade even. The cache is small but can accommodate coins and small travel bugs.

Be sure and check out my nearby cache Portuguese Navigation

Additional Hints

No DNF shame here. Hold your head high as you return to the listed coordinates. Beacon is less than one hundred metres from end of path.

1 16 November 2016 Bon Echo Found it

Drove up to Cambridge today to take the kids to Chuck E Cheese and stopped by to do this one on the way home, in the dark. I wanted to do this one because it's listed on OCNA, even though it was first listed on groundspeak. I'm glad I took a look at the groundspeak listing or I wouldn't have know about the beacon not working or the coordinates to the final being posted. Anyways, this looks like a very cool idea, I was very curious what the beacon would be and its one of the ideas I had but seems so much better. Would have loved to get this one while it was working, I hope you will be able to fix it up and get it working again. Great work all the same, thanks for the cache!

1 19 September 2011 Coffee Peddlers Found it

This was great!! Great hide and all, and to top it all off I got the opencaching FTF (okay I know I'm stretching it alot). Not even close to the absolute FTF but I'll take my small victory :)

It was getting near dusk, and I remembered this one was supposed to be done in the early night, so we headed over. Based on the hint, I was looking for it as we walked in, and sure enough I spotted something that was worth investigating. Bingo, it was the cache. Nice camo, and clever concept, I really like this one. We did walk in farther and tested the proper way to do it. It works. I didn't expect first to find, and we weren't!
