Description EN
The Humbling River

This area is open to hunting

There's quite an interesting story with this one. Last winter I fell down a hill and had a huge rock chasing after me, well this time I was trying to put the cache up some and I broke a branch and luckily I caught two tree's or I would have landed in the little river, and surely breaking threw the ice. So that's how this one got it's name.

The cache is a standard decon container hanging in a tree. Don't worry it's not 35 feet in the air, just about 10. I got a pretty good scrape across my side for this so please put it back. You might want to take someone with you as well just in case you lose your footing as I did.

You can find parking at N 41 11.856 W 091 36.603.

The Humbling River by Puscifer

Nature, nurture, heaven and home
Sum of all and by them driven
To conquer every mountain shown
But have never crossed the river
Braved the forest braved the stone
Braved the icy winds and fire
Braved and beat them on my own
Yet I'm helpless by the river

Angel, angel what have I done?
I've faced the quakes the wind, the fire
I've conquered country, crown, and throne
Why can't I cross this river?

Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle
Open your heart and hands my son
Or you'll never make it over the river
It'll take a lot more that words and guns
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
The hands of the many must join as one
And together we'll cross the river
