Located within Turkey Swamp in the towns of Halifax and Plympton, Turkey Island is merely an area of slightly higher elevation than the surrounding swamp.
We discovered this area thanks to Geocaching and have fell in love with it. The cache is a small lock-n-lock placed in the vertical split of a narrow but very tall pine tree. While you're there be sure to check out the view of the nearby marsh from the tree stand at 41° 58.950 070° 49.487.
This is the first traditional cache placed in Massachusetts that isn't listed on any other site. We don't expect many finds on this one, but for the hearty few we hope to read of their adventure out here.
