Mid-Isle Adventure

This is a wonderful little hike on St. Croix, across from the Department of Agriculture, near the University of the Virgin Islands campus. The walk it easy in the beginning, but as you get further along the trail it might be a little overgrown. You can begin right off Centerline Road, or start at these coordinates (17' 43.029N 064' 48.191W). If the going gets rough, there is a road to the west of the trail that can be used part of the way.

The trail have great markers that id the plants life along the trail. Some are in need of maintenance, but overall great information on the trees and bush along the trail.

The cache was stashed at the base of a tree, near the bank of the gut. It is in a sealed plastic container with locking tabs. It has a logbook and a geocache pencil. The initial inventory is a green and white Volkswagon Beetle and the Pirate Candle, both I retrieved from Jacks Stash (GCNV68).

The cache is under a grove of trees, which might interfere with satellite signals. Though, I had no problems getting a number of satellite signals.
