Cache Attributes

Thorns Bring Your Own Pen In the Woods Listed on OCNA Only

Please see the attributes article for more information.

Description   EN

These three remain.

This is my first cache to be listed on Opencaching.us, depending on the number of visits and feedback on this hide I may (and would like to) hide more in the future. To that end, I wanted it to be simple and so should be a relatively simple hike and find. While this is a stand alone cache listed exclusively on Opencaching.us, this cache is also part of a series including two other caches that are listed on other listing services. The other caches include Hope and Charity. Finding Charity requires information found in Faith and Hope.

#23 of 24. All the others were of the groundspeak variety. This one had been on my to do list for a very long time. Today I happened to be in the area and decided to seek it.

When I found the cache I was greeted by several paper wasps. They had made a nest in the same place the cache is hidden. Fortunately I made my way away from them until they settled. I removed their nest from the hide. But that doesn't mean they won't return.

The cache is clean, dry and in great shape. TNLN TFTC

On man does this open up a new can of worms?  Not the cache itself, but the fact there is another listing service and a chance to become concerned with "other" numbers.  I was in the area, with a good friend,  to find this cache as well as a few others in the park.  We got to ground zero and slapped our foreheads saying "On man so many places to search."  After a methodical search we had the cache in hand and were signing the log.  We then replaced it as found and headed off to another in the park.  Thanks for the cache.

I came to this park along the Patuxent River with my good friend to find the 3 caches - Hope, Faith, and Charity - hidden in the park.  What a fantastic park!  I had a blast making my way around the park finding the caches hidden here.  Cool

This cache gave my friend and me a run for our money.  Surprised  It took us a number of minutes to find.  Coords were good, but at GZ there are a lot of places to hide a cache.  I was thrilled when my friend revealed the cache since I was beginning to think there were no more places to look.

3067 / 65.  Finally got out here, following the publication of Charity.  After having trouble with Hope, I decided to seek out Faith.  Searched around for a while, trying to pin down GZ.  Finally settled down on one area and spotted something just a bit different and made the find.  Very nicely done.

No trades, signed logbook.

Thanks and Happy Trails!

FTF! Came out to this park on a special trip to grab the new OX and OCUS caches.  The walk out was frosty but the bright sunshine at my back made it feel warmer.  I looped around the backside on an ATV trail and found a pretty nice deer stand hidden amongst the brush.  As I approached GZ I got a little nervous this might be a tough hunt.  But I was wrong, it was easy, fortified by an earlier find this morning. Cool Love the craftwork.  I left a signature on the sheet and tucked it all away again, ready for the next finder.  TFTC!
