DO NOT REMOVE STAMP!  Bring an ink pad or markers.

  • ŸDon't have a stamp? Use a marker or pen and make a thumbprint. Make a drawing out of it.
  • ŸUse the stamp in this box to stamp your personal journal so you will have a record of your visit
  • ŸRe-hide the box in the exactlocation you found it
  • ŸLog it online and tell us about your adventures here or AtlasQuest.com

If you found "This Bud's For You", you can follow the directions below from that point.  If you just want to look for this box, you can start in the parking lot at the back of the Brazos Center. Walk to the pond and walk around to the left and to the far side.

To continue on to Hummer Bird, keep going on the trail. You'll come to a Grape Vine. MMM! Grapes! If you look to the right through the brush, you can see a little classroom area with a stage and benches. Norman (the mouse from the other box) and his forest friends like to play here when no one is around. You can continue on the trail or you can take a shortcut over to the stage. If you stay on the trail, you'll pass a Yaupon. This tree provides nice berries for Norman in the winter. After that is a Pecan tree, his favorite nuts. Norman says "puh-khan". "Pee Cans" are what you put in the car for long trips with the kids. Walk along the trail until you come to a Black Walnut on the left. Do you see the tee-pee? This is another favorite playplace for the forest critters. Keep going until you come to the Gum Bulmelia on the left. It has a little Coralberry in front of it which provides more berries. Norman likes purple. You will see the stage again and it will be on your right. If you look left, you will see a little trail heading out to the pond. Take that trail.

When you get to the pond, go left and walk around to the other side. If you walk around near the tree line, you will pass a Rattlebush on the right between you and the pond. Norman likes the sound the seed pods make in the wind. Keep going for just a bit and look for a tall broken tree trunk that is about 10 feet tall just at the tree line. The Hummer Bird will be hiding behind the stump. Please cover well as this pond is a nice spot for folks to come out to fish.
