At the corner of Trade and Tryon (at the posted coordinates) sits another favorite of the fantastic public art available in Charlotte. Officially titled "Il Grande Disco" (translates to The Big Disc), locals refer to the large, round sculpture as the Disco Wheel. Created by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro specifically for this space in 1974, Il Grande Disco is meant to represent industrial growth.
