Well, I capped the Munzee the cache owner put inside this cache about a week ago, as it's along a trail that now has about 10 Munzees on it. Sorry to see it hasn't been logged in over a year, this is really an excellent cache. It's in outstanding shape, but I'm sure the cache owner knows that after having been there last week. Found (eventually) with DudleyGrunt on our way down to GeoWoodstock.  I  kept telling him it had to be "there", but we just couldn't find it for what seemed like the longest time.

Thanks!

2773.  Took some time searching with JuniorNimrod to come up with this one.  Given the name, I had a couple ideas where it might be.  Did eventually come up with it, though.  Picked up my first GK, but he's in the car, so will have to log him out, tomorrow.

Will definitely have to make another trip up to WNY for all the OCUS (and TC) hides I didn't have time for this weekend.  Hmmm....maybe Labor Day.

Thanks & Happy Trails!

Well what a fantastic day it turned out to be. I went out to scout some potential hiding spots for a lisiting on the froggy site, but didn't have much luck. So instead I was able to find a couple caches. Decided to park at the park & ride and make the longer walk with it being so nice out. Quite a few people out on the path, but nobody around when I needed to start looking. Spotted something suspicious right off the bat, and it turned out to be the hiding spot. Coords were very good for me, so Yuck-o's antique GPS must have been his issue. I also did not take his Geokret since I was with him when he first acquired it and I thought it was evil. Very nice hide GOF, thanks.

First of all, I must thank GOF for putting an Opencache a mere 1.71 miles from my home coordinates, as entered in the website. This "new" bike trail extension is about 2-3 years old, and I've thought about checking it out for cache placements, but never got around to it. As a "local", I knew to park about .16 miles from it at the closed restaraunt at the edge of the cemetery. This is perfectly legal, and I see people do it every time I pass by. I'm so freaking old, I have actually dined there when it was open. I'll go out on a limb and say it will never open again in the current building, but their docks on the creek (canal) are in pretty good shape. And if you come from that direction, how about that house that has the bike trail running within 15 feet of the back of their house? I'll bet the County paid them handsomely for that access! So anyways, I got there, and I do believe the coordinates may be 30-40 feet off. I certainly won't throw any stones, seeing as I roll with a 2004 Garmin Model myself. You picked an outstanding spot, out of view of the scattering of houses on the road. I started out my "Evil Blue Bunny" GeoKrety here. The container was quite filled though, and I had to take some LEGO stickers to make him fit. I left a buck fitty for them. They probably cost more than that, but that's what I had, and who doesn't like to find money in a cache? TFTC.

I did a little caching in the area so I thought I'd give this one a try.  There were too many muggles and dogs on the Island to searche for the other cache I was seeking so I decided to take the half mile walk.  I enjoyed the scenery, which included a big turtle and a great blue heron.  GPS was a little flakey at the zero but eventually I figured out where I needed to be.  Quick inspection yielded something that looked a bit out of place.  The cache was quickly in hand.  TFTC!

It was a pleasant walk down the bikepath from ellicott creek park early this morning.  The weather was cooperative and there was plenty of natural activity on the creek to observe.   Got a bit luckly and found it it early in the hunt.   Added a piece of swag to the cache before rehiding it and heading back to the parking area.   Thanks
