2281 2012-04-09 12:42 frog man (user activity2) - Found it

Nice area, but can get a little hot in the summer. I came in from Pine Lily Preserve, down to Hal Scott and then up to this cache. I know the area quite well and even looked at this tree for one of my TCs - but figured it was a little to easy;-)If you want to see some of the local history (that left from destruction by I assume the current landowners), take a walk around the area closer to the river. The land is not controlled by EEL, as mentioned in writeup, but by the SJRWMD. Thanks for the modern day cache (maybe should be a Munzee cache)...........

Nice spot! Saw a lot wildlife in the area including two very noisy peacocks. They were quite colorful strutting around with their huge plume of feathers. I followed one out into the swamps where it met a young fawn. It was so amazing to watch as they seem to get along so well.  Then the deer saw me and poof it was gone. So sad. I really wanted to get a picture.

Thanks for the surpirse encounter with nature.
