Description EN

Welcome to the Circle-B Bar Reserve! I'm hopeful this will provide a little twist & fun to the hunt. Do enjoy the rest of the trail and what the Circle-B property has to offer.

Your task is to locate an automated transmitter array near the shoreline of Lake Hancock. The equipment has been placed here by The Southwest Florida Water Management District (aka: SWFWMD locally referred to as "Swift Mud") to monitor the water level. Once a day this one of many stations will transmit data.

There is no need to walk on the chained off narrow deck/dock or "fondle" the equipment, Please! You can stay on the trail. The point is to draw your attention to the site and let you know what it is and it's purpose. So, I did a little research because I had no idea what all that stuff did either. I'll include a link to their data site... once I find it... again.

Ahhh, you may have noticed the need for a password and the offset attribute is active for this listing. Well, my fellow cacher... since this is a virtual and I need to direct you to where the password is. There is a SWFWMD Survey Control Station marker (aka: Benchmark) a short distance to the west from the coordinates provided. You may have passed by the witness pole already on trek eastbound from the Discovery Center! As you proceed westerly on the trail you need to bare left or shall we say choose the most left (southern) trail split. The 3-foot or so high witness pole should be easy to spot on the left (south) side of the trail. The benchmark is on the ground nearby. Honest it is not far. There is a 6-digit number on the benchmark that will be your password for logging.

I did not have a picture of the array... So feel free to add one. Please do not post one of the bench mark or at least not one that will display the password.
