You'll begin at the Auxier Ridge parking area at the end of Tunnel Ridge Rd. and head out on the Auxier Ridge Trail. I love this trail. Really. There isn't a whole lot of elevation change from the trailhead to Haystack Rock so it's not going to kill you but it will take you 1.8 miles to get there. Steep drop offs are everywhere so you need to be careful if you do any off trail exploration. But once you get to the coords, wow do you get a view! Beyond the rock and the vista, you will have to cross the Wizard's Backbone on your way to Courthouse Rock and that's another gorgeous area - just don't fall off the cliffs - that's no joke.
In order to log this virtual you need to complete two simple tasks:
1. The password is the official trail number of the Auxier Ridge Trail
2. You must take a picture of yourself with Haystack Rock in the Background
