I have this location listed on the Terracaching site, but the logging requirement is different, making this is an OCNA only cache. There is also a Groundspeak Earthcache at this location.
A prime photo-op spot and must see along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, the King Neptune statue by sculptor Paul DiPasquale stands mightily at Neptune Park near the Hilton Hotel 31st Street. This impressive bronze sculpture is 34-feet tall to the height of the trident, weighs 12.5 tons, and in addition to King Neptune, includes an octopus, two dolphins, a sea turtle, a lobster and twelve fish.
The project was initiated by the Neptune Festival and funded by private donations. The sculpture was dedicated to the City of Virginia Beach in September 2005 during the annual Neptune Festival's end of the season signature celebration, Boardwalk Weekend.
Neptune Park
Situated along the Boardwalk, next to the Hilton Hotel, Neptune Park overlooks the ocean and features a number of popular outdoor annual events including the Neptune Festival and the Boardwalk Art Show.

Parking will be the most difficult part of this cache. There is paid street parking all along the area as well as a few parking garages.
This is a very impressive sculpture. It can be seen from a long distance in either direction on the boardwalk.
You must visit this location in person and post a photo of you and/or your GPS with King Neptune in the background. There is a confirmation code required to log this cache. There are several plaques surrounding King Neptune. Find the one with ANGEL at the top. What is Craig's last name? Please do not include a picture of the plaque.
