Description   EN

A stack of enormous books with a central cascade of water marks the library's Vine Street entrance and is a reminder that knowledge flows from the printed word. Although the book covers appear leatherbound, Frasca fabricated them from fired clay placed over a concrete core. Amelia Valerio Weinberg left a bequest in 1982 to create a library fountain.  The fountain was created in 1988 by sculptor, Michael Frasca.

Logging Requirements: Visit the site in person. Take and post a picture of you and / or your GPS with the fountain clearly in view.

This cache was inspired by listening to Podcacher Episode 385 and an e-mail submitted Sandy of TeamOrville.

This one was a fun one considering the wildlife. I'm glad that this was a virtual and not a traditional. This is my first opencaching.Us find.

An FTF on a cache that has been publish for 2 and a half years!

We found a metered place to park nearby and were delighted to find that the first 10 minutes were FREE PARKING!  And that's all it took!  Visited the fountain, took some pics, and was back at the car before the meter expired.

This is an impressive library that Mrs T. and I will have to come back and visit at a later date---Thanks for bringing us here!
