Description EN

debaere debaere

You may know him from his blog, Only Googlebot Reads This Blog, as cohost with HeadHardHat* of the GeoSnippits Reboot Podcast, or maybe you just saw him at Geowoodstock XI in Lakeland, FL.  Perhaps you've just heard the whispered legends among the geocaching community.

From the bio...

It is my lot in life to resemble a cross between Indiana Jones, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and Chewbacca (what a wookie!)
I am a geocacher, which means that the world is my playground.
I am a proud Canadian who lives in North Carolina, so my writing is full of extra u's, and oddly pronounced 'outs'. I also have an inferiority complex and a penchant for self deprecating humour.

Well, it turns out that world renowned geocacher extraordinaire, debaere, will be migrating to his native homeland of Canada at the end of June.  I've pulled some strings and he has graciously agreed to make an appearance.

Seriously, though, Dave is just a plain old good guy.  I actually got to know him thru his involvement in OCNA about a year or so ago.  He let me know some time back (before the podcast, I believe) that he's be passing thru.  He wondered if we might be able to meet up and I suggested that I host and event like I did for NativTxn.

I hope you'll be able to make it out and welcome this geographically confused man and his family to Maryland.

For Dave / debaere - If you want to brush up on your Maryland dialect, you can check out this site before you come up.
