Welcome to the Bechtel Museum of Modern Art. The piece of artwork
at the posted coordinates is affectionately referred to by locals as
the "Disco Chicken". The actual title is "Le Grand Oiseau de Feu
sur l’Arche" or "Large Firebird on an Arch" - what most
visitors interpret as large, bowed legs is actually the arch that
the firebird is sitting on. Standing 17 feet tall and weighing more
than 1400 pounds, the sculptures mirror-ball affect is achieved by
over 7500 pieces of mirrored and colored glass.
