Description   EN

Founder's Park is a city park in Farmington Hills, Michigan.  It is a large sports park with a number of soccer and baseball fields, in addition to an ice arena and skateboard park.  I have watched many soccer games here.  The park closes at dusk.  The information sign did not indicate an opening time but it would be safest to assume it does not open until after dawn.  Although you should not need it, you can find an on-line map at: http://www.ci.farmington-hills.mi.us/Community/ParkMaps/Map-FoundersField.pdf

The cache is in a wooded area.  However, there is a disc golf course through the woods so be aware of watchers.  The cache is in a camo painted small Rubbermaid Easy Find (I like the name) container with a log book and some trade items.  Please bring your own pencil or pen.  Please be sure to restore the hiding place in a similar condition.

My seven year old son and I placed two caches and played some baseball.  It was a good day.

This cache is accessible with some snow on the ground.  It will not be accessible if there is a lot of snow on the ground.  During the winter, the parking lot is limited to the paved area near the ice arena.

It has been a long time since I checked on this cache.  I was pleasantly surprised to find it still there.

I checked on the cache today.  It survived the winter fine.  The contents were dry.

Last night I got the urge to go out and find some OpenCaches.  Saw that there are several on the west side.  The weather could have been better as it was drizzling most of the morning.  I skipped several caches because of the rain.  This is my fourth OC find.  I had to back track on the trail when I ran into the creek that was almost overflowing it's banks.  Moved downstream and found a fallen tree to cross on.  This container is more of a micro.  TNLN  TFTC

We spotted this cache while exploring the Opencaching web site last week. We then drove 1100 miles just to get a first to find! Just kidding. We are up here in the cold to visit our daughter and family for Thanksgiving.

This was a very nice cache. The coordinates were right on the money. I doubt that anyone will be able to find this when there is a ton of snow on the ground though.

Hopefully Opencaching.us will catch on. Thanks for the work.
