You would be forgiven if you lived in the Farmington / Farmington Hills area and had never heard of the Harmon Oaks Park. It is a less than two acres in size, being a thin section of land that is next to the Glen Oaks Golf Course. It has a trail going through it, although this trail is not descernible in the winter. You can find a map at: http://www.ci.farmington-hills.mi.us/Community/ParkMaps/Map-HarmonOaks.pdf
It would be best to consider daylight hours as the park hours. The park does close at dusk. There is no street parking next to the park. It is prohibited there. The easiest place to park is in a office building parking lot that is accessed from Farmington Road just before Ravine Avenue.
If you wander through the park you find that a sizeable part of it is contained in an island created by a split in the stream that flows through the park, which rejoins at the southern end of the park. You can cross on the ice in the winter. In the summer you might find a place to jump across at the very north end or brave crossing on one of the downed trees.
The cache is far enough back that it should not be visible from the road or houses. It may be visible from the golf course, although it will not be accessible from that side. The cache is a camo painted small Rubbermaid container, but it does have a log book and some trade items. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
This cache should be accessible during the winter. It may not be accessible if there is heavy snow.
