Description   EN

This is the first in a series of virtual caches found exclusively on OC.US. We travel full-time in our RV and see many cool, unusual and amazing things. To share our experiences, we are creating virtual caches of the things we see around the United States.  We hope you enjoy them.

--------------------------------------------------------

This virtual cache is located in Tannehill State Park. Parking is available nearby and the cache is just a short walk from the road. The park has an admission fee, often on the honor system and other times the gate is manned. For more information about the park itself, please visit http://www.tannehill.org

On this cache you'll find the fresh water spring that bubbles up from the ground and trickles out from behind giant boulders.

If the weather is warm, take off your shoes and wade in the very shallow water. Let the kids play while you sit on the bench and enjoy the view. Bring your camper and spend a few nights in this beautiful campground.

To log this cache, you must take a picture of yourself holding your GPS with the Spring in view, and post that picture here. Below is a shot of what you can expect to see once you arrive...

Found this one while caching with the kids during a Cub Scout campout with Pack 220.  This is my first cache on this site.

Heading through Birmingham on my way home from a business trip and couldn't pass up logging my 1st Opencache. This was an awesome place. Loved the spring. I need to bring the family back and stay someday.

Found it at 9:50 this morning on a great day of hiking and caching in the park. We hiked over 9 miles and found several caches, including finds on the two opencaching.us virtual caches in the park. It's amazing that this spring is still bubbling in the midst of the drought. Thanks for your work on OCUS and for establishing the virtuals here in the park. Hopefully more will follow.
