This OpenCaching North America Virtual Cache is located at the border between British Columbia and Alberta, along the Crowsnest Highway and near the Continental Divide
There is a large parking area complete with washrooms and picnic tables (part of the Crowsnest Provincial Park, which is free for day-use only), and a pathway leads from the parking lot to the sign. No need to pull off on the shoulder of the highway, be safe and use the parking lot. The entrance to the park is just east of the sign
My wife grew up in Elk valley, and we visit there at least every other year. We either fly to Calgary or drive when we have the time. After a long day (or week!) of travel, this sign greets us when we are finally almost there, and says “Welcome Home”
To log this cache, you must post a photo of you and your GPS-enabled device with this Welcome to British Columbia sign in the photo. Any Found It logs without the required photo will be deleted. Photos taken at a different location in British Columbia will not be accepted
