Oh, hey, I'm FTF! :-D
I'm finally logging this OC after finding it back in June. After OC.us upgraded my password had been corrupted so I had to create a new one. Unfortunately my crap email provider flagged the change-password-email as spam every time even though I had spam filtering turned off. So for 7 months I have been unable to get in. FINALLY I bit the bullet and switched hosts and lo and behold... the email came right through.
Anyway, I was in the area caching naturally and saw a virtual cache in the park. I didn't remember seeing a new one on GC.com but my GPSr doesn't discriminate so I pulled in and checked it out. Nice memorial to a great guy. Simple and elegant. Many thanks for bringing me here Eric! After logging the virtual I enjoyed a loop around the park, found a few geocaches (including a puzzle I hadn't actually solved), saw a fox and some deer and made my way back to the car happy, hungry and well exercised. Glad I took a picture of the log password because my notes are long gone.
