This cache is located within the Windrock Park/Windrock OHV area. A land use permit is required for entry to the area. Costs are about $18 per day with lower per day costs for 3 day passes etc. This site has some significant history. This is past a flat concrete area with rail car rails, put there decades ago. Off to the left of the mine entrance are two odd shaped concrete pylons that may be part of the old rail incline that ran up the mountain carrying coal and workers down and supplies, workers, families etc back up. IF the vegetation allows you can see parts of the incline and other metal structures strewn down the mountain.
