Welcome to the beach. My son's Boy Scout troop comes up there each year, just before Memorial Day to participate in Beach Jam. We camp on the beach and most of the scouts and adults enjoy the rides as the Morey's Pier folks work out the kinks before their big Memorial Day kick off. Since I was getting ready to head up for this weekend, I thought I'd list a webcam cache, here. I visted GZ and confirmed the coords, while there.
You'll either need to enlist the aid of a friend for family member who can be online at home or have a smart phone that is capable of viewing the web cam page and saving the image for you to upload later. Once you are at the listed coordinates, someone will need to visit the camera page at WeatherBug.com or you can go to the Beach Jam page at...
PLEASE CHECK THE CAM, BEFORE YOU VISIT.
YOU MUST POST A PHOTO TAKEN BY THE WEBCAM TO CLAIM THIS CACHE. IF THE WEBCAM IS NOT WORKING (OR NOT AVAILABLE) AT THE TIME YOU ARE THERE, PLEASE POST A LOG TO THAT EFFECT AND PLAN TO REVISIT THE SITE.
However, if you are using your phone to access the webcam site and have trouble saving the image to your phone, you may use another camera to take a picture of your phone, showing you in the webcam image. Does that make sense?
There is no fee required for completing this cache.
Check the Morey's Peir website for times and hours fof availability. This webcam is located at the Mariner's Landing Pier and may not be accessible November to March.
