Welcome to the Greenspring Quarry.
The material that came from here was used for railway beds, the Baltimore Beltway, the Ft. McHenry Tunnel, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the National Aquarium, and the stadium at Camden Yards. The bottom of this quarry is 50 feet below sea level, and is the deepest body of water in Maryland!
The BIT Cache is located behind a sign that is at a nice view of Quarry Lake itself. The parking lot and this part of the quarry/park closes at sunset.
