Description EN

Jackson At ChancellorsvilleJust a quarter mile from here, across the Plank Road, in a stroke of misfortune, General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson was felled by a shot from his own troops during the Battle of Chancellorsville.

The area on this side of Plank Road is now a private campground, but the part where this cache is located is open to the public. We will not say more about what is here, other than to say that it was built in acknowledgement of the significant history of the area and of Civil War history in general.

And the only thing we'll tell you about the numerical confirmation code to log your find of this place is:

  • Antietam
  • Appomattox
  • Fredericksburg
  • Shiloh

After you figure that out, if you want a more serious study of the history of this area, go the quarter mile northeast of here to the Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center.
