Cache was archived. Funny thing is, I was at the park with my wife and son sometime in the Spring, and I saw that cache intact. I am authorized to archive this for GOF, seeing as he's putting a wood floor in at my house as we speak. Laughing

Headed south of the border again this weekend (well, actually a lot more east and just a bit south) but this time it was adults only, no kids (first time in 8 years that we've been able to say that). We traveled to the Finger Lakes area to enjoy a romantic anniversary weekend - by romantic, I mean stopping to find caches, garage sales, thrift shops, driving secondary highways, stuff like that.
In the end, we found 6 OCNA caches (and dnf'd two), also visited the oldest geocache in the state and picked up two other gc.com caches plus a few qualifiers for some TerraCaching locationless caches. A good weekend all around.
This was the second of the two dnf's - two BIT caches along #5. This was our second time to Glen Falls, what a great park and the falls was alive thanks to the recent rains. At the posted coordinates we found the back of a sign which clearly had some things stuck to it but they're gone now - just a munzee (see photo)

Spotted a Munzee, but no BIT. I didn't expand my search very far, as this was Muggle Central today.

This is a great park, waterfall and area.  I really enjoyed my time here.

3394.  Hitting this group of 4 Amherst BITs before my event, this evening on the way to 100/3400.  This is such an awesome park on a relatively small bit of land.  I'm jealous, this isn't in Maryland, near me.

Thanks and Happy Trails!

Rayman is correct, the falls were flowing very nicely on a spring day, and I should really come this way more often. It's a good spot for the Bit Cache, and I spotted it relatively quickly. TFTC.

Yuck again beat me to the find on this one. In my defense, he was using a real GPS and I was using the crappy GPS in the official opencaching app. Great place to be. I really should visit the falls more often.

I am currently pulling my 2nd stint as an assistant Chief with the CFD as such, of course have fire radios 3 of them actually. One portable has the capability to talk to Lancaster and Aamherst Fire controls. Twice this year I have had to use it to call in a motor vehicle accident, wile out on a caching run. This time as I was coming into the village trafic came to a sudden stop. I then noticed a car facing the wrong way. I got past the 2 cars involved and parked the truck and turned on my lights and called in. Luckily no one was seriously hurt. I stayed with an elderly woman till Williamsville's Bravest were on the scene. I waited till I knew the woman was OK and her son was contacted. Cleared my leaving with my counter part then continued on to take a very nice tour of Glens Falls park. Thanks for the fun today! SF7
