I stopped by on my way to a class this evening to find a few caches. Another one of those odd things you see around. I saw the last log that they were trying to sell it, but it's certainly still there. Thanks for the cache!

Looks like the owners are trying to sell the mermaid:

How do you find out about these things?  I've driven by here many times and never noticed the carving, let alone the back story!  I left for work early this morning and took the long way so I could stop by and pick this up.  The sun hadn't risen yet, but there was enough light that I could see the mermaid.

Thanks for the interesting virtual!

Took a nice drive this morning to work my way around to several new Opencaches and a few others.  I found the nearby parking, took a short walk and admired the statue.  There was very little traffic so the morning air was pretty peaceful.  Nice way to preserve the heart of a stricken tree.

A very interesting piece of art. I wanted to get closer, but didn't want to go onto the property. From our approach, the hand that is in the air looked like antlers. Thanks for showing us this. TFTC

My second OCUS find.  I'd decided to head down to find a couple this afternoon when I noticed that a new one had just been published.  I decided to head hear first and believe I may have been the FTF at about 3:50 pm.

Enjoyed the story behind the sculpture and the excuse to come by here.

Thanks and Happy Trails!
