Received notification about a new OpenCache in Hamilton and while it's unlike me to drive across the city for a new geocache, new alt-caches in my area are extremely rare and I was already hoping to get outdoors for a bit after work so this was the perfect excuse to visit some old stomping grounds. I was on the trail here back in December and was hit with a snowstorm. Today was better but it still snowed a little, which is unexpected since it's May. Two of my daughters joined me for the hike. We parked on Hillcrest and enjoyed the stroll to the cache. Found the cache after a short search, coords are good (I used waypoint averaging on my Garmin and recorded N 43 14.731 W 79 53.948 which is only a difference of 14 meters which is pretty good agreement along the escarpment). We exchanged a couple toys (see photo), signed the log, and rehid it better than found since the cache would be visible from the trail if exposed. After that we continued west to Chedoke, then followed the rail trail back to the car. A huge thanks to Bush Fox and daughter for hiding this opencache. I have dozens of OpenCaches around the city mostly towards the east side and hope you might get a chance to seek out some of those. Looking forward to any future hides that you place. Happy Caching.
