Nature has taken over the area making access nearly impossible and besides that the container has dissappeared.

Where do we start with this one, how about the beginning? I was excited to try this one after reading the adventures of therapaint and foxult. So I brought joe perry freak and a camera with me. Once we got to the site we found the container on the ground. So much for the challenge. What should we do next? We signed the log and I thought I might at least try to return it to a logical spot on the wall. I called therapaint for direction but he wasn't available. Soooo, thennnn, let's try anyway. JPF began filming and I began climbing. Once I ran out of handholds I placed the container in a crevice and fell off the wall. I only slightly injured by back but at least the container is off the ground...

We should have left well enough alone but I thought I might be able to secure the container better with a second attempt. I let JPF climb but he didn't get far. Then it was my turn, I managed to get to the container again and push it further into the crevice, but I also managed to open the lid and I could not close it before I went off the wall again.

Sorry TH but you may have to go check on it.

Except for that last part this was a lot of fun. Thanks for the challenge and the smiley. In case you're thinking bad thoughts about my less than stellar replacement please be kind 'cause I cut my thumb on the second try and it hurts a little...

Easy to find.  Tougher to acquire.  Lacking a ladder and a truck to transport one, I used my rock climbing skeelz learned in college to get to the container and then put it back.  TFTC!

 

I did this one after DNF'ing Open Hole.  At least I came out with some success on this cache run.

Man, I saw this listing last night and thought, well - it's going to be raining and cold tomorrow, maybe I can wait until the weekend and....what am I saying?  I'm going for this sucker in the morning no matter what!  I called the CO to let him know my intentions just so someone would know my whereabouts in case I met my demise on the Open Wall.  I showed up onsite just after dropping off the kids, and the evil one, er...the TermiteHunter was there waiting to heckle me.  I gathered up my resources and managed to take the long way to GZ in order to remain unseen and managed to turn the terrain rating to a 5 in the process.  Just to note for the record, I received NO HELP from the CO unless you can interpret evil laughter as some form of assistance.  Retrieved the container and signed in as FTF - yes!!  TH showed me how he placed the container, and I don't know if I could have reached it in the same fashion, especially in icy conditions - but hey, a cacher has to be resourceful, and I got 'er done!  Took the 3.5 terrain trail to get back to the cachemobile.  I'm enjoying these mini-adventures very much, thanks for another challenge!

This should actually be a DNR (Did Not Retrieve) instead of a DNF, but there is no option for that!

When I left work I saw that this one was yet to be logged so I decided to at least give it a drive by. When I arrived I spotted it from the easiest way to get close to it and then approached it from the more difficult way and found it was still out of reach. If it weren't so cold and wet, I might have attempted to get to the cache but being alone, I didn't try. I took out my phone and PAFed rvstauff since he lives close by, but he was about to head out for a family event. Oh well, looks like I am going to have to put this off for a future date.
