For the record, I solved this puzzle in 2016. Unfortunately, I've not since been back to this area, even though I lived there many years ago.
As indicated in the hint, getting to the GZ could be a bit of a chore.
Too bad it was never found before being archived.

Assuming the equations include fractions I tried some possibilities that seem to place the final near the beach, but the checker site no longer functions and I suspect that in the 15 years since this one was placed the hurricanes have erased anything placed there.

This one has been bugging me for over a year.
Guess what, I'm moving into the area in the near future and hope to have it figured out before I get there. If not, I'll have time to figure it out once there - lol.
Then I hope the cache is still in place.

I have no idea what is being taught in 1st grade.
I believe the part of the equation that has the colon in it to be a ratio. But the would mean there are fractions. That doesn't sit well with whole numbers for the coordinates.
I'll be in the area a couple of days. This is actually my third trip to the area in the last 2 years, but I have not been able to Goggle anything on these equations.
Any nudge would be appreciated.
