Well, armed with more information from a PAF (thanks DG) I made another attempt on this one. I had tried this location the first time, but wimped out during my attempt. TNLN TFTC

2328.  As with prior seekers, this one had be scratching my head - especially, after I tried the right speot early on with no luck.  Gave it some more thought and a second attempt.  Nicely done!

The land over the fence is still just a bit dirt field, at this point.

Well all I can say is DNF. I looked for over 30 minutes. My GZ took me off of the mulch. I had no clue what the hint meant, unless it one of those hints that make sense after finding the cache. I checked both sides of both fences, but couldn't make the find. I'll keep an eye on it and wait for something to help me out.

Early morning errands, and another Opencache!

At GZ, I scratched my head for a minute before realizing where it could be. Nicely done.

Right now the field is a big pile of dirt with a pile of tires and some cement drain pipes just sitting in the middle of it.

FTF! This area was familiar from previous cache hunting. Undecided I think the last search was a DNF and then the cache was archived.  No matter, tonight it was all good!  Sad to see the land clearing nearby, but not surprising given the proximity to the Metro station.  Progress in NoVA marches on.  It reminds me of the pictures from the Civil War era when virtually all the trees for many miles around Washington were cut down.  I kept circling trying to decide how I would hide a cache here.  Then it clicked and I had the container in hand seconds later.  Nice hide!  As I opened the container I had to smile because the first piece of swag that fell out I recognized from another local cache I found last month.  Neat how that works sometimes.  Thanks for fresh logbok and another OpenCache!
