Working on NativTxn's Diversified Cacher contest, I planned to do #19 (cache 100 miles from home) and then come back toward Fredericksburg to get some of the OCUS and TC caches in the area.

However, at about 10:45, I discovered I had a flat tire. With a combination of Fix-a-Flat and re-inflating it, I was able to get it to a tire shop, but it turned out I didn't have my lug nut key. It only took an hour an a half to figure that out for sure. I'd walked across the street to get lunch and it took a few phone calls to determine that the key was definitely not in the car. Had to find a Honda dealer, then, and had trouble getting either my Droid or my Nuvi go properly navigate there. Once I got there and let them take the car, I did get an hour in a massaging recliner, so it wasn't all bad.

It turned out that this was the shopping center I'd gotten lunch in, when my car was at Mr. Tire.  For some reason, I didn't check my phone to see if one of the OC caches was close enough to walk to.  Guess I was a bit stressed about the tire and probbably figured, "what are the odds?"  Maybe I would have found it in the daylight.

Well, I'll be back.
