FTF! Drove into the neighboorhood and soon found the listed parking. Other than some kids playing in the common green there were very few signs of life. I grabbed my gear and took a short walk into the woods. What a hidden gem! I've lived in Fairfax County most of my life and never new much of the Fairfax family history, nor anything about Belvoir Plantation. The many interpretive signs help fill in many of the gaps. I particularly liked the sign that showed the timeline of neighboring families such as Washington and Carlye. Without this OC I probably would not have discovered this place.
