Description   EN

This continues the North Carolina Rest Area Series.

These are designed to give travelers an additional quick smiley during their stop.

You may use your phone to scan the QR Code or go online and enter the unique code provided.

This really nice Visitor's Center opened in 2002 and is operated by the Dare County Tourist Bureau. It is on the outskirts of Manteo on Roanoke island off of US 64. Enjoy your search and your break. Be discreet going back here. There are some really cool planes inside the building and interestingly there is a small family cemetary plot near the building. Check it out.

2 15 March 2014 TermiteHunter Didn't find it

Had to back track to pick this one up since BIT caches currently don't show up on the maps.  Made the stop and confident that I found the correct location but only found the remnants of the attaching device for the BIT.

Might want to disable this one until your next trip to the area.
