A cache in the OpenCaching Cemetery Directory (OCD) Series. To add a cache to this series, simple follow this naming convention:
OCD State/Province - Cemetery Name (Township or Community Name)
Please provide some detail about the cemetery in your cache description, and please paste this note at the start of the description. Lets see how many states and provinces we can get to go OCD. This one is located in Blackheath United Church cemetery in the tiny hamlet of Blackheath which is part of the almagemated City of Hamilton. The cache is in the overgrowth along the border of the cemetery. Watch for thorns, since it is zip-tied to a small hawthorn tree. It's about 5 feet off teh ground. I might return with a larger cache container next time I'm by here since there are several decent hiding spots along the edges of this cemetery.
Accoring to teh City of Hamilton's cemetery website, this one dates back to 1855, has around 200 monuments, and is still open for burials. It was or is also knows as Chalmers Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
