Description EN
We've long been intrigued by the Milford and Manchester Railroad that was only in use for a few short years.

A bit more information on the railroad (owned by the Boston and Maine Railroad) can be found here:
Nashua City Station: Manchester and Milford Branch
and here:
History of Goffstown, NH: Manchester and Milford Railroad

This cache is placed on the old railroad bed in Bedford, NH near McQuade Brook.

The trailhead is just south of the bridge going over the brook (south of the parking waypoint).

There is a home on your left for the first part of the trail. If you're looking for the cache at night you should keep your flashlights low towards the ground so as to not alarm anyone.

When placing the cache I saw a Great Blue Heron. If you approach the cache quietly you may see a heron as well. I also saw a garter snake; if you don't want to see the garter snake, stomp your feet as you walk. :)

Please put the cache back carefully where you find it.
