There
are many local geocaching clubs. The local club here is NOVAGO
(Northern Virginia Geocaching Organization). Local clubs are a fun
place for geocachers to come together, socialize, and organize trips
together. NOVAGO holds monthly get togethers and seasonal picnics.
NOVAGO members also regularly volunteer at geocaching educational
events.
The
rules to geocaching are simple. Return a geocache as you found it.
Sign the log book. If you take some swag, leave some swag. Geocachers
also participate in CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) trying to keep are parks
and environment clean.
