Description   EN

Located on Merritt Island, Pine Flatwoods is a dynamic landscape supporting a diverse plant community and abundant wildlife. Hidden in a 879 acre conservation area, the hours are generally from sunrise to sunset. Trails run on both the North & South side of the main road in.

You are looking for a laminated white tag containing your find code. GZ, during certains times of the year, offers one the opportunity to observe various forms of wildlife.

Depending on the time of the year, the surroundings could get very wet and muddy.

As with all caches of this type, do be careful and while kid frendly, time of year and conditions should come into play.

While in the area be sure to seek out the various other type of cache placements.

The access gates close at sunset. Travel distance is 1-way.

Out with zstatman while he does some cache maintenance.  I've not been out to this observation deck before.  Enjoyed the hike out here.

Out in the area doing some cache maintenance and happy to say that this one is in great shape and ready to be claimed!

1 23 March 2013 The Boonie Man Found it

What a surprise! After nearly two years you would think someone would have found this cache by now. Surprisingly the lamenated tag is still holding up.  I just had to hang upside down in order to read it, that's all. Wink

Anyways, I always wondered why they put an observation deck way out here. Was it for the palm trees. They're so rare. Tongue out

Thanks for puzzling find and the head rush.
