Why put a cache here?, well I will tell you. Just down the river is where the Deep and the Haw rivers come together to form the mighty Cape Fear River. During the Civil War there were locks in place so boats could come up the Cape Fear and the deep river to Shot towers, where they made lead balls for the confederates rifiles. Please thake care of the cache for future Opencachers. Thanks
