Lou Lou and I set out to find the burial site of Constantine Hardeman somewhere back in these woods. He owned all of this land from approx. 1800-1855, built his house down around the Kroger parking lot, and operated the mill he built on the other side of Stewart's Creek (check out
http://www.opencaching.us/viewcache.php?cacheid=163 for that story). To quote Bono I still haven't found what I'm looking for. But we did find this evidence of an old abandoned road. If you look closely while in the area you will see the foundation of an old bridge, there is even some structural steel laying around. Keep following the path to the end and check out the far side of the dam Constantine built approx. 200 years ago.
