The Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary is a significant natural resource and the channels, muck paths, mango islands, and wildlife makes for a grand and peaceful paddle. There is a launch slip about 50' from the entrance gate, north side of the Western trail.
Yes, to find this white laminated tag you will need a small boat, canoe or kayak. Depending on the water level, you should be able to see the 6-digit white laminated tab found on a neat peninsula.
Do be careful, this is a natural area so some local residents are sure to be around - wood stork, pelicans, snowy egret or belted kingfisher, heron and even ducks. Yes, one could also cross paths with Flordia's state bug and an occasional alligator!
Beyond this cache, there are several geo & terracaches along the way or nearby so make the trip more worthwhile by exploring the entire area
