I've been up here in Edmonton since February 2013 working on the LRT extension and my time here is coming to an end. I've met many people of here and have been welcomed into a very active and friendly group of geocachers.

Note from the Strathcona Wilderness Centre Website - Remember pets including dogs and horses, bicycles and off-road vehicles are not permitted at the Centre.
In my time up here I have met a great group of cachers who have been very tolerant of a visitor from the west coast.
To get to the meeting place, the event coordinates will take you on the 'snowshoe' hiking trail shown in teal on the map. Don't worry, it doesn't really go into Bennett Lake.
Hope you can come out for some good caches (Alberta's Oldest is in this park) and some good conversation.
There will be a new cache in the park released on the day of this event.
NOTE: This event was originally going to be held on Saturday, 23 August, but the new Doctor Who episode is airing that day and I'm not missing it.
