I'm trying to catch up on things today... I know I found this one because I found the ants and had some help from boys CO was hauling around!!  TFTC..

Wow!  No one's been here since my last visit!  That one was a DNF and today I redeemed myself by making the find.  The cache has some cool stuff in it too.

This turned out to be more of an adventure than I had expected.

When I arrived at the GZ, having been here before, I had a pretty good idea where to search (the CO had also given me a good hint this past March).  I "assumed the position" necessary to effect the grab, had just gotten hold of the container, when I found myself being attacked by swarming fire ants who were zealously guarding the approach to the cache and had remained hidden until I inadvertently disturbed them.

As I jumped around swatting those pesky, awful creatures off of me, the entire area in front of the cache became awash in ants, so to speak.

I had an implement in the geomobile which I needed to use to replace the cache, as there was no way I could just replace it "by hand," which incidentally had indeed gotten bitten, but not too badly (I think).

So, just beware that this is Texas,  fire ants live under things, and they don't like being disturbed!

The cache was there, but got washed under the shed. I got it back out and replaced it in a little better location.  Hard to place caches during a drought and remember where water actually goes when it rains.

Stopped here and looked somewhat thoroughly (used the hint) and came up empty.  Given the size of this cache, a look-see from the CO may be in order.
