Dropping nearly 30 feet over the Onondaga escarpment Glen Falls provided the power for several mills that lined this part of Ellicott Creek. It's location here, where the main road from Batavia to Buffalo crossed the creek made it a logical location for the community that eventually came to be known as Williamsville.
