We will begin at 10:30 am and run until noon.  

Come join us in learning the ins and outs of geocaching. There are several caches in the park and we may place some extra ones for the day for participants to find.  Bring your GPSr and/or smartphone with GPS. Be prepared. Cell signal is very low at this park. If you don't have either and just want to learn more, we'll be glad to have you as well.

Nails Creek is a State Park. Entrance fees are $4 each and camping is available. If you have the Texas Parks Passport, that will cover the entry fee for everyone in your vehicle. Children 12 and younger are free.

The Fish Camp 2013 event Saturday 10am-dark-thirty February 9th is good to go weather willing...

Knothead University – all about knots (fishing and otherwise)

Flying Tyers – fly tying demo and workshop (BVFF)

Kayaking – general rigging and fishing

Fish fry 2PM until we run out of fish! (BVFF?)

Hike to Overlook Point leaving at 10:00am & 2:00pm (approx. 3 mile round trip)

Inland fisheries program (TPWD inland fisheries) 

Geocache program (Brazos Valley Geocachers)

Park amenities program- Campsites, creeks, trailway, recreation areas, bank fishing access. (TPWD)

Paddle Program - canoe and kayak basic instruction (TPWD & others)

Kid Fish at the pond? (TPWD & others)

Campfire chaos - Fun around the fire! Storytelling and conversation, roasting marshmallows to end the day.
