Beschrijving EN

Yes,  a micro in the woods (actually, it's now a bit bigger than a micro). Sorry, that's what I had with me to hide and besides, despite that fact that the American and British forces met here in battle 200 years ago, the forest just isn't that mature and there are not a lot of hiding places for a larger cache. But you'll find it. Just don't go searching on the first weekend in June, you might get shot by a musket (not really) - that's when the Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek takes place. The park gets very busy and there is an admission fee on that weekend. The park is rather quite for much of the rest of the year. I recommend that you visit on the first weekend in May (Doors Open Hamilton weekend) - then you will be able to tour the Gage farmhouse and maybe even see inside the Battlefield Monument.

Cache is a small nalgene plastic bottle. Please bring a pen and ensure the cache is not visible from the trail

There is another geoache less than 70 feet from this one, and listed on the groundspeak site: GC3QZJ1; I found that cache last spring (2014), and didn't realize I was so close when I placed this one. That one is much harder to get to, 50-70 feet off the trail, a bison tube 12' up in a tree, visible from the ground and only available to premium gc members. My cache is a larger plastic bottle, concealed, at ground level, right off the trail, and freely available for anyone to find. I can't image the two ever being confused.

Cache maintenance log:

31 August 2015 - Cache hidden and published on OCNA.

22 April 2016 - Cache replaced with a slightly larger container.

October 2016 - Cache checked, all is well.

December 2017 - seems some geocaching.com users found this one and signed it.
